This is an original work by Bill Bulfer, and has not been reviewed or endorsed by the Boeing Company. The product is also useful for flight-simmers using advanced B737-NG flight sims. It can help users better understand QRH flow and enhance their understanding of systems. This product is not certified for flight operations - the regulator-approved Airplane Flight Manual is the final authority as to the safe operation of your airplane. ![]() The QRG is easy to read and understand, and helps unravel the often convoluted flow present in many QRHs. The B737 QRG is a conversion of a print product produced by Bill Bulfer, a retired airline pilot with extensive time in the B737. ![]() Throughout, "Fly the Airplane" is emphasized - aviate, navigate, communicate. ![]() Moreover, airmanship tips are also provided so as to help ensure safe flight. When a user selects a QRG entry, a description of the failure is provided as well as checklist procedures required to address the issue. As a helpful aid, if the procedure includes a system alert, that alert is shown besides the checklist title. The B737 QRG app contains the same content as the QRG in the B737 Cockpit Companion app.ĭesigned for systems study and simulator sessions, the QRG is fully indexed and cross-referenced, with a Memory Actions section, 14 systems sections, and an index. It started life as an academic exercise to simplify procedures. Quizzer is an enhancement to the B737 Cockpit Companion, helping turn the app into an interactive learning tool. While it's a good learning aid for aeroscience students or flight-simmers, it is not meant to keep abreast of changes in the Boeing procedures. NOTE: We do not recommend this product for professional pilots. As of September 2020, it requires iOS 12 or later. The B737 Quick Reference Guide for the iPad is a comprehensive reference to over 150 emergency and abnormal flight procedures for the Boeing 737-600, -700, -800, and -900. The app is, therefore, not supported on the original iPad (2010), iPad 2 (2012), iPad 3 ("The new iPad", 2012), iPad 4 ("iPad with Retina display", 2012), or the original iPad Mini (2012). We strive to support the app on two iOS revisions older than the current system. NOTE: The app is supported and designed for the iPad 4 and later. This includes the text of FMC Guide, Bill Bulfer's book on the Flight Management System and Quizzer. One optional in-app subscription, "Pro App", is available. Your FAA-approved company flight manual is the final authority as to the safe and correct operation of your airplane. As with all products of this type, this program is for informational purposes only. A sample Master Minimum Equipment List, based on FAA Rev 55a. Of interest to students or prospective pilots, we also include: A database update feature to help keep the database up to date (requires a wireless connection). The content of the B737 Alerts app-a $15 value-optimized for the new database. Bill's high-resolution, vector-based schematics. An extensive index of over 700 items, linked to the main text. The ability to create your own flashcards. All-new, high-resolution graphics detailing every panel and control head. The complete text of the B737 NG Cockpit Companion print version-and more. Extensive coverage of the B737-600, -700, -800, -900, the BBJs, the 737 MAX, and the Classic EFIS/EIS. It also contains a number of reference options, so you can look up data without having to work through the control panels. The app features a touch-based navigation scheme, so you can start with the top-level cockpit view, and find notes specific to the panel you deal with. The app is much more than an "eBook." At its heart is a powerful database engine that allows a tremendous number of configuration options to be customized without forcing the user to wade through clutter: When you browse a control head, for instance, you will see only content related to that control head. ![]() B737 Cockpit Companion steps far beyond the "need to know" philosophy that is characteristic of modern systems training, and which frustrates many line pilots. It is a convenient accessible guide to systems, incorporating notes on functionality, "theory of operation", and Bill's extensive experience as a line pilot with a major US carrier.
